Ingredients

  • white fish fillets (tilapia or cod)
  • corn tortillas
  • all-purpose flour
  • light beer
  • baking powder
  • cabbage, shredded
  • Mexican cream
  • chipotle in adobo
  • lime
  • vegetable oil

Ingredients

  • 600 g white fish fillets (tilapia or cod)
  • 12 units corn tortillas
  • 120 g all-purpose flour
  • 240 ml light beer
  • 5 g baking powder
  • 200 g cabbage, shredded
  • 100 ml Mexican cream
  • 1 unit chipotle in adobo
  • 3 units lime
  • 500 ml vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Make batter: whisk flour, beer and baking powder until smooth.
  2. Season fish with salt, dip in batter.
  3. Fry in 180°C oil until golden, about 4 min.
  4. Blend chipotle with cream for chipotle crema.
  5. Warm tortillas.
  6. Assemble tacos with fish, cabbage, chipotle crema and lime.
