  • bush tomatoes dried
  • canned diced tomatoes
  • brown onion
  • garlic cloves
  • cumin
  • turmeric
  • vegetable stock
  • olive oil

Ingredients

  • 200 g red lentils
  • 15 g bush tomatoes dried
  • 400 g canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 whole brown onion
  • 3 whole garlic cloves
  • 3 g cumin
  • 2 g turmeric
  • 800 ml vegetable stock
  • 15 ml olive oil

Instructions

  1. Soak bush tomatoes in warm water 10 min; chop.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil 5 min.
  3. Add cumin and turmeric; stir 1 min.
  4. Add lentils, bush tomatoes, canned tomatoes, and stock.
  5. Simmer 25 min until lentils are soft.
  6. Partially blend for texture; season to taste.
