British potted Morecambe Bay shrimps โ tiny brown shrimps in spiced brown butter served over wholegrain toast with 32g protein. A classic British coastal treat.

Ingredients
- 300 gcooked peeled brown shrimps
- 60 gunsalted butter
- 1 pinchnutmeg, grated
- 1 pinchcayenne pepper
- 1 pinchground mace
- 10 mllemon juice
- 4 wholewholegrain toast slices
- 30 gwatercress (to serve)
Instructions
- Melt butter gently; add nutmeg, cayenne, and mace. Stir in lemon juice.
- Fold in shrimps; warm through gently โ do not overcook.
- Spoon into ramekins; press down. Pour over any remaining spiced butter.
- Refrigerate until butter sets (20 min) or serve warm immediately.
- Serve on wholegrain toast with watercress.
