Ingredients

  • 300 gplain flour
  • 4 wholeeggs
  • 100 mlmilk
  • 200 gEmmental grated
  • 2 wholeonions thinly sliced
  • 30 gbutter
  • 2 gnutmeg

Instructions

  1. Beat flour, eggs, milk, salt, nutmeg to smooth batter.
  2. Push batter through a colander into boiling salted water; boil 2 min; drain.
  3. Fry onions in butter until crispy golden.
  4. Layer spätzle and cheese in baking dish; top with onions.
  5. Bake 180°C 15 min until cheese melts.
