Ingredients
- 600 glarge prawns, peeled and deveined
- 60 gchickpea flour (besan)
- 30 grice flour
- 8 gred chilli powder
- 20 ggarlic and ginger paste
- 3 gajwain (carom seeds)
- 2 gturmeric powder
- 20 mllemon juice
- 60 mloil for shallow-frying
- 1 to tastesalt
- 1 to tastelemon wedges and green chutney, to serve
Instructions
- Mix chickpea flour, rice flour, chilli powder, turmeric, ajwain, garlic-ginger paste, lemon juice, and salt with a little water to form a thick batter.
- Coat prawns in the batter.
- Heat oil in a wide non-stick pan over medium-high. Shallow-fry prawns in batches, 2โ3 min per side until crispy and golden.
- Drain on kitchen paper. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and green chutney.
